Avant Garde Shoes

Some crazy shoes:

Julian Hakes Mojito Shoe in Electric Blue & Fuchsia

These look like brushetrokes in shoe form to me. They come in a few other colors. Sadly, they're a little too much money for me with their $249 pricetag, but they're fun to look at!

I don't really care for these shoes... They remind me of someone walking around with bedazzled cinderblocks on their feet. They make the feet look too clunky.

As much as I think it would be horribly uncomfortable to walk in these, they look cool, with a chic vibe that comes from how much they look like an almost liquid heel.

These look like they have too many ideas with the innovative shape and the buckles. In addition, they remind me of the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Maybe if they were in a different fabric and if they had more of an arch in the foot they would look less tortured.

These shoes just make me laugh. I think it was a cute idea, but I don't think many people would want to wear these because nobody wants to look like she has gum stuck on the bottom of her shoe!

These shoes look delicate, kind of like origami-- I love them!

These shoes are so pretty and delicate... They remind me of a fairy tale.

These shoes are interesting. I think the cutouts in the wedges give it a sort of lightness that other wedges lack, but at the same time I feel like these could go a bit childish depending on the outfit they're worn with.

These just give off an air of effortless luxury. Still avant garde, but I think these are a bit more safe than the others listed above.

I don't think I could say love enough times to express how much I love these. They seem like the ultimate shoes for spring and summer, especially for sneakily dressing up a casual outfit.

These seem to be a bit more common these days, but I still like their idea. These shoes make the wearer look light on her feet, a sort of graceful look that is almost pixie-esque.

Unless you are wearing these for a costume, please don't wear these. They're just gaudy with their nod to hunting with the gun as the heel and the actual shoe part resembling a hoof. Ew.

These are a mix of crazy, and I can't decided whether or not I like them. I love the side view, but in the back I feel like it might be too much. What do you think?

Well, that's all I have for now. If you have any suggestions for the next topic, please comment!
